    Arbor Bank History

Arbor Bank's rich history stretches back to 1865, when it was originally established as the Otoe County National Bank of Nebraska City. It holds the distinction of being the oldest state bank in Nebraska and has played a pivotal role in fostering growth in Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa through its unwavering financial and community support.

Arbor Bank has seen several transformative milestones, including the 2007 merger of Citizens State Bank of Oakland and Otoe County Bank of Nebraska City, which led to the creation of Arbor Bank as we know it today. Subsequently, in 2011, it combined operations with First Community Bank, solidifying its identity as Arbor Bank. The institution celebrated a momentous milestone in May 2015, commemorating 150 years of service. Arbor Bank's dedication to expansion is evident in the openings of new branches, such as the Elkhorn, Nebraska location in October 2019 and the Hamburg, Iowa location in January 2023.
