Certificate of deposit rates are down again this week with the exception of  18 month and 36 month certificate of deposit rates. 18 month CD rates increased to 1.225 percent, up from the last week’s average rate of 1.091 percent. 36 month CD interest rates are up to 1.902 percent, an increase from last week’s average rate of 1.650 percent.

• The average 12 month CD rate at banks is at 1.034 percent, a decrease from last week's average interest rate of 1.041 percent.
• The average rate on 18 month certificates of deposit is currently at 1.225 percent, an increase from the prior week’s average interest rate of 1.091 percent.
