Fed Stands Pat on Fed Funds Rate as Two Banks Increase CD RatesThe Federal Reserve decided to keep the federal funds rate near zero percent for now. Despite the Fed holding pat, a couple of banks decided to increase CD rates. California First National Bank increased their 6 month and 1 year rates. The bank's 1 year rate is now the second best rate available in the database. The other bank that increased rates was EverBank, which is no surprise.
