Sovereign Bank is offering a 9 month promotional CD Rate and a 12 month promotional CD rate. The 9 month certificate of deposit currently has a 4.00% annual percentage yield (APY) and the 12 month certificate of deposit currently has a 4.25% APY. The minimum deposit for both CDs is only $500.

You will need the following to open a certificate of deposit account with Sovereign Bank.
