Current mortgage rates declined today, reversing an uptrend of the past several days. Mortgage rates today on 30 year jumbo mortgage loans are averaging 4.22 percent, a decline from yesterday's average 30 year jumbo mortgage rate of 4.25 percent.

While average mortgage rates have bounced off of record lows recently for both jumbo and conforming loans we expect rates to decrease this coming week. Rates will probably start declining again this week as investors focus once again on the European Union and the world economies slowing down.
