In the weekly Mortgage Application Survey released by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). The average contract rate on 30 year mortgage loans decreased to 4.55% with 0.99 mortgage discount points. The average contract mortgage rate the previous week was 4.69% with 0.90 mortgage points.
