Mortgage Rates Decrease on Possible Debt Deal

Mortgage rates are lower on hopeful news that Democrats and Republicans are very close on a debt deal. 30 year mortgage rates are back below 4.50% at 4.48%, down from the previous day's average 30 year mortgage rate of 4.55%. 15 year mortgage rates today are also lower on the news. Today's mortgage rates on 15 year loans are averaging 4.66%, down from yesterday's average 15 year rate of 3.72%.

Jumbo mortgage rates on 30 year loans are averaging 4.96%, down from yesterday's average 30 year jumbo rate of 5.01%. Current 15 year jumbo mortgage rates are at 4.24%, down from yesterday's average 15 year jumbo rate of 4.35%.

5 year adjustable mortgages are averaging 3.26%, down from the prior week’s average rate of 3.39%.

7 year adjustable mortgage rates are averaging 3.41%, down from the previous week’s average 7 year loan rate of 3.43%.

10 year adjustable mortgage rates are averaging 3.89%, down from last week’s average 10 year adjustable rate of 3.91%.
