Fixed long term mortgage rates are lower this week over last week and shorter term adjustable mortgage rates are mostly higher. The current average fixed conforming 30 year mortgage rate is 4.30 percent which is just above a record low of 4.26 percent set in late September. 30 year mortgage rates in Arkansas are higher averaging 4.32 percent.Current home mortgage rates will stay at these levels until the end of 2010 but you can expect higher rates in the coming year. 15 year home mortgage rates today are averaging 4.76 percent which is also just above an all-time low set in September. 15 year mortgage interest rates in Iowa are higher averaging 3.78 percent.30 year jumbo home mortgage rates are averaging 4.76 percent, which is only 46 basis points above 30 year conforming mortgage rates.
