Explore Other Rate DealsMortgage rates increased slightly in the most recent survey released yesterday morning by the Mortgage Bankers Association. Both 30 year mortgage rates and 15 year mortgage rates are up slightly from all-time lows set last week. 1 year adjustable rate mortgages decreased in this week's survey.
Mortgage rates continue to hover near all-time lows. 10 year bond yields did break back above 3.00 percent last week closing the week at 3.05 percent. The increase in 10 year Treasury yields wasn't enough to send mortgage rates higher. We might see mortgage rates go even lower this week. The dollar strengthened this morning as investors wait second quarter company earnings of U.S. companies for clues about the economy. Mortgage rates have gone down considerably over the past few weeks because of concern the U.S. economy is slowing down quickly.
