Everything on the Site, including rates, averages, rankings, health grades, star ratings, calculators, indexes, forecasts and articles, is provided for general information and education. Nothing on the Site is an offer to lend, an offer to open an account, a guarantee of approval, or a commitment to any rate or term. MonitorBankRates is not a bank, lender, broker or insurance agency, and we do not take applications.
Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, tax, legal or insurance advice, and no content is a recommendation that a particular product is right for you. Speak with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
3. Rates and Data Accuracy
We collect rates from the published websites of banks, credit unions and lenders and from public sources such as FDIC, NCUA, Census and HMDA data. We work to keep this information accurate and current, but rates change often, institutions may change terms without notice, and errors can happen. Rates shown may not be available to you and may depend on your credit, location, deposit or loan amount and other factors. Always confirm rates, fees and terms directly with the institution before you open an account or apply for a loan.
Health grades, star ratings, Texas Ratios and similar measures are our own analysis of public regulatory data. They are opinions, not guarantees of an institution's safety, and they are not ratings from any government agency. For deposit insurance information, visit the FDIC or NCUA.
4. Advertising, Partner Widgets and Links
Some pages include advertising and rate comparison widgets provided by third parties, and we may be paid when you click a partner offer or open an account through it. The Site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, products, privacy practices or terms of any third party website, and a link is not an endorsement. Your dealings with any bank, lender, insurer or other company are solely between you and that company.
5. Community Reviews and Other Content You Submit
You may post reviews, ratings and comments about financial institutions. When you submit content, you agree that:
- Your content reflects your own honest experience and does not contain false statements of fact.
- You will not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that invades anyone's privacy.
- You will not include account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.
- You will not post spam, advertising, or reviews you were paid or rewarded to write, and you will not review an institution you work for or compete with.
You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give MonitorBankRates a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual, non exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, edit for length or formatting, and distribute it on the Site and in related materials, including in average ratings that may affect an institution's MonitorBankRates rating.
We may review, decline, edit or remove any submission at any time for any reason. Reviews are the opinions of the people who write them, not the opinions of MonitorBankRates, and we do not verify every statement in them.
6. Our Content, Data and Widgets
The Site and its content, including rate tables, averages, indexes, health grades, charts, text, design, logos and code, are owned by MonitorBankRates or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. "MonitorBankRates" and "Monitor Bank Rates" are names and marks of Monitor Bank Rates LLC.
You may view and use the Site for your own personal, non commercial purposes. Journalists, researchers and educators may quote or cite individual figures with clear attribution to MonitorBankRates and a link to the source page, as described in our Editorial Policy.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- Scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk download rates, averages, institution data or other content, by automated means or otherwise.
- Copy, republish, resell, license or build a product or database from our data.
- Use our data to train, fine tune or evaluate machine learning or artificial intelligence models, except as permitted by our published crawler rules.
- Remove or obscure attribution, branding or notices from our content or widgets.

7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to interfere with the Site's operation, bypass security or rate limits, introduce malicious code, attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, impersonate any person, or use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MONITOR BANK RATES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE, INCLUDING ANY RATE OR INFORMATION THAT IS INACCURATE OR OUT OF DATE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Monitor Bank Rates LLC against any claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from content you submit or your violation of these terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
