Mortgage rates were down again this past week. Fixed conforming mortgage rates and fixed jumbo mortgage rates were down. Conforming 30 year mortgage rates are closing in on 5.00 and jumbo 15 year mortgage rates are also headed towards 5.00 percent.

GE Capital Retail Bank increased their 1 year bank CD rate to 1.09 percent with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 1.10 percent. The bank increased their 1 year CD rate from 1.04 percent with an APY of 1.05 percent.
