Explore Other Rate DealsCD rates were expected to head higher later this year but it might be early next year before CD rates move higher. The reason being is the economy is starting to slow down and inflation still isn't a concern at this point for the fed to raise interest rates. Once the fed starts rasing interest rates CD rates will also head higher.
